Our beloved Naples is not the same. We are heartbroken to see the devastation in our community and those up and down the coast—but Floridians are strong, and we’ll rebuild even stronger.

For those looking for ways to support Naples during Hurricane Ian recovery, we’ve compiled a listing of organizations seeking donations and volunteers, as well as a few Scouted local businesses that are donating profits from sales this month to support hurricane relief efforts.

DONATIONS – ORGANIZATIONS

American Red Cross. Currently, the Red Cross is in the area delivering hot meals to areas impacted by Hurricane Ian. If donating, please indicate that you would like to donate to support Hurricane Ian relief.

Children’s Advocacy Center. Seeking monetary donations to allow it to clean and restore the center, which offers treatment and therapy for children who have been abused.

Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW). Seeking monetary donations to provide care for wildlife on Sanibel and Captiva.

Collier Community Foundation. The Collier Community Foundation has reactivated its Collier Comes Together Hurricane Fund to assist Hurricane Ian victims. Activation of the fund allows CCF to act quickly to ensure immediate aid is provided where needed most. 100% of donations are distributed to area nonprofits serving victims and their families without administrative fees.

Conservancy of Southwest Florida (1495 Smith Preserve Way, Naples). Seeking monetary donations or items from their Amazon and Chewy wish lists.

Humane Society Naples (370 Airport-Pulling Road, Naples). Seeking monetary donations and supplies, including pellet litter, clay non-clumping litter, dog crates (airline type only), cat crates, and soft toys for dogs.

Marissa Collections (1167 Third Street South, Naples). Collecting monetary donations for immediate emergency relief and long-term recovery through the Hunger and Homeless Coalition of Collier County, Harry Chapin Food Bank, Conservancy of Southwest Florida, The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, and All Hands and Hearts. Marissa Collections is providing a dollar-for-dollar match to the Support Southwest Florida with Marissa Collections Fund, up to $50,000.

Salvation Army of Collier County. Seeking monetary donations to serve those in need and to fight back against the pain caused by hurricanes, fires, floods, tornadoes, and other catastrophic events.

DONATIONS – SUPPLIES

Artis—Naples (5833 Pelican Bay Boulevard, Naples). Collecting donations of canned and non-perishable foods for St. Matthew’s House. Drop off at box office.

Avow Hospice (1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples). Collecting donations of towels, sheets, air mattresses, pillows, non-perishable food, water, Gatorade, personal hygiene supplies of toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, paper towels, wipes, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, trash bags, first aid supplies, batteries, flashlights, chargers for batteries and cellphones, portable fans, and blue tarps. Gift cards ($25 denominations are best) are also appreciated for gas, groceries, and Walmart and Target items.

Coldwell Banker/The Dawn McKenna Group (550 Fifth Avenue South, Naples). Collecting donations of first aid kits and over-the-counter medicine, cleaning supplies, Clorox wipes, insect repellent, adult and children’s clothes, shoes and socks, underwear, toiletries and personal hygiene items, blankets and towels, and nonperishable food items for St. Matthew’s House; canned puppy and adult dog food, canned kitten and adult cat food, bath towels, cat litter, paper towels, disinfectant wipes, Kuranda beds, and pill pockets for dogs and cats for Humane Society Naples. Drop off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through the holiday season.

Lake Park Diner (944 Seventh Avenue North, Naples). Collecting donations of blankets, sheet sets, and comforters.

Naples Pride Center (2248 Airport-Pulling Road, Naples). Collecting donations of nonperishable food, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products , bedding, clothing, shoes, small household appliances like microwaves, some tents and portable showers, and sensory items for children with autism. Items should be in new or good, usable condition and can be dropped off from noon-4 p.m. weekdays.

Unique Wood Floor Co. (111 10th Street South, Suite 204, Naples; The Collective). Collecting non-perishable foods, individually packaged waters, Gatorade, diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, feminine products, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, bleach, dish soap, white vinegar, first aid kits, blankets, trash bags, paper plates, and disposable utensils.

Better Together. Seeking volunteers to offer support to families in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian (food, power, help with cleanup, donations, etc.)

Community Cooperative. Seeking volunteers to help with food distribution and more.
